Royal Scots Greys from Princes Street Gardens

4th March 2016

About this memory

With its central position along the west part of Princes Street, between the Mound and the West End, the monument to the Royal Scots Greys is a popular photographic attraction in the city centre.
It was erected to commemorate the soldiers of the regiment who died in the Anglo-Boer war of 1899 to 1902, with plaques added to commemorate those who died in the 1st and 2nd World Wars and subsequent conflicts
