Wooden Rulers of the 1950s

1955

About this memory

Rulers were given out for lessons as opposed to later when every child had their
own.
Over time they became chipped and stained.
This was due to them making superb pretend swords and also as they were perfect for flicking ink-soaked Blotting paper pellets.
