About this memory
This picture shows the Anderson type Coal sheds behind the prefabs.
Ours was situated just outside the side door as we were the corner house.(See Photo1F)
Every house had a front garden for grass and flowers etc, and a rear garden with room to grow fruit and veg.
There was also room for a drying area for hanging out Washing. (See Photo 1A)
All the front gardens were fenced off with either wooden stake fencing or fences which were made of lengths of piping. We had both. .(See Photos 1B,1C and 1D)
The rear garden had metal link-type fencing. (see Photos 1A and 1E)
Living on a corner also meant we had a extra bit of garden on the front which my Dad later called the Ponderosa and which seemed to contain rubble instead of soil
