Riddle's Court is one of the last remaining courtyard style tenements in the historic Old Town of Edinburgh. A merchant's house in the 16th Century, it has hosted Kings, aristocrats and civic dignitaries; in the Victorian era, the 1881 census recorded 247 residents including a bookbinder, a laundress and a scavenger. Riddle's Court is currently under re-development and will open as the Patrick Geddes Centre for Learning in 2017.
